Annual Memorial Walk

The 2017 Memorial Walk will be held on Saturday, October 7th.

Our Memorial Walk is designed to provide comfort for bereaved families and to increase public awareness of the issues of pregnancy loss and infant death. The event is held rain or shine. The Memorial Walk is a day filled with music and refreshments and opportunities to create new friendships with those who have had similar experiences, and countless moments to remember. Everyone is welcome to join. Participation in the walk is free.

Registration will begin at noon at the Columbia Pavilion of the Saratoga Spa State Park, and the walk around the reflecting pool will start at 1:15 p.m.

The day’s events begins with registration and while you wait there is entertainment by local favorite, The Tail Spin Band, food for purchase, and crafts and activities for children. There are also raffles and a silent auction. The Walk starts at 1:15pm and goes through the park, around the reflecting pool. It is a 1.5 mile level, paved path accessible by strollers and wheelchairs.

A nondenominational memorial service will begin at 3:30 p.m. back at the Columbia Pavilion, as we remember babies lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDs, and infant death.
